School photos should feel like the child—not just another picture-day pose.

My approach to school and class photography combines the organization and efficiency needed for picture day with the warm, natural style I love in portrait photography. I aim to create images that feel polished and timeless while still allowing each student’s personality to come through.

I have experience photographing students across a range of ages and understand the importance of keeping picture day moving efficiently while making each child feel comfortable in front of the camera. Rather than relying on overly posed or dated setups, I favor simple backgrounds, natural expressions, flattering light, and a small variety of poses whenever time allows.

Families receive access to a private online gallery where they can view their student’s images and choose the photographs they love. High-resolution digital images and professionally printed photographs are available for purchase, giving families flexibility without the traditional one-photo-fits-all picture-day experience.

I’m continuing to grow this part of my photography work and would love to partner with local schools, homeschool groups, co-ops, preschools, performing arts programs, and other organizations looking for a more personal approach to portrait photography.
